PM-1 in polymyositis - Introduction

Another type of ANA, PM-1, is reported in approximately 60% of patients with polymyositis and in 10% with dermatomyositis (80). Routine measurement of PM-1 has not proven to be clinically useful to date, but further studies may contribute to the understanding of pathogenic mechanisms in polymyositis.
