INTRODUCTION

Thrombocytes have different capabilities:

  • adhesion,
  • aggregation,
  • pseudopodii swelling and protrusion,
  • secretion of active substances,
  • retraction, phagocytosis, and
  • active transport of substances or their adsorption to the membrane.

Thrombocytes are important for:

  • hemostasis,
  • blood coagulation,
  • phagocytosis,
  • transport of chemically active substances.
