Description:

 Round or oval.

Size:

10-15 µm.

Cytoplasm:

Red or orange. The layer around the nucleus is scarcer than in the acidophilic erythroblast. No granules.

Nucleus:

Round, eccentric. The chromatin forms a coarse network.

Nucleoli

Not visible.
