Description:
Large cell in the shape of an irregular rhombus, similar in appearance to the reticuloendothelial cell.
Size:
15 - 30 µm.
Cytoplasm:
Stains polychromatophilic (gray-violet), rarely basophilic (blue). There are a few azurophilic granules in it, sometimes in the shape of shorter rods.
Nucleus:
Oval, showing a fine reticular chromatin network, stains red.
Nucleoli
1-3 nucleoli.
