Description:

Large cell with an unclear limited cytoplasm.

Size:

15 - 30 µm.

Cytoplasm:

Forms a layer around the nucleus. The cytoplasm is gray-violet, sometimes with a small number of azurophilic granules in it. As the cell is a phagocyte, foreign particles can also be found in the cytoplasm.

Nucleus:

Large, round or oval and occupies the major part of the cell. The chromatin has a fine reticular pattern. The nucleus stains red.

Nucleoli:

2-3 blue colored nucleoli.
